Fufang Knitting factory actively responds to the call of “green energy island”, participates in realizing the goals of “carbon peak by 2030” and “carbon neutral by 2060” proposed by President Xi Jinping, and builds a 350kW PHOTOVOLTAIC power station on the roof of the workshop. With the close cooperation of local government, power supply company and construction unit, the project completed a series of work such as filing, power access, construction and grid connection within a month, making a contribution to the photovoltaic development goal of Dong Guan city during the 13th Five-Year Plan period. During its 25-year life cycle, the photovoltaic power station will generate 8.4 million KWH of green electricity, save 2,500 tons of standard coal and reduce 7,000 tons of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to planting 5,500 trees. Once operational, the photovoltaic plant will meet 40 percent of the plant’s daytime electricity needs. Starting from May 2022, fabrics delivered to customers by Fufang Knitting will be made from renewable photovoltaic electricity.
